Built by crew, for crew.

Everest opened its Bermondsey counter in 2016 with six camera bodies, two benches and a van. A decade on, the fleet covers cameras through post machines, the customer book has passed 4,000 productions, and the benches have not shrunk.

From six bodies to studio lots

The first customers were students and short-film crews who needed a camera that worked on a Sunday. They came back with commercials, then dramas, then lot productions. Today the book includes crews from Paramount and Amazon MGM Studios alongside the first-time directors who started with us, and the promise has not changed: tested kit, fair day rates, and a counter that picks up.

The post fleet arrived in 2019 when a documentary team needed ten edit machines for a fortnight and no London house could field them. Now workstations, render nodes and reference displays ship alongside the cameras, and about half the bookings are camera-plus-compute packages built around a single delivery.

More than 4,000 satisfied customers later, the house still runs on the same two benches, a 72-point checklist and the belief that rental is a service industry with gear attached.

Engineers first

The house was started by two camera engineers who were tired of renting untested kit. Every item still passes the bench before it ships, and the answer to "can you check it again" is always yes.

Crew over contracts

The counter answers the phone. Bookings are held fast, swaps are made same day, and a wrap running late never loses the kit to the next job without a call first.

A fleet with a second life

Retired machines are refurbished for film schools and youth programmes at cost, and packaging is reused until it fails. Rental is the original circular economy.
